Changes to IFLA ExCo

IFLA is pleased announce that Alessandro Martinelli will be taking the role of interim Chair of the Education and Academic Affairs (EAA) Committee.

Our current Chair Professor Julian Raxworthy has had to step down for personal reasons. IFLA President Bruno has thanked Julian for engaging with engaged with the role so positively, working with the EAA committee and existing projects and initiating new ones - his positivity, dedication and go-for attitude will be missed.

To ensure the EAA Committee continues as efficiently as possible with its important work we have, as per the allowance in our Bylaws (4.1.14 and 4.1.15), selected Alessandro as the interim chair.

Alessandro is currently the EAA Chair for the IFLA Asia-Pacific Region, he is an Associate Professor from the Department of Landscape Architecture at the Chinese Culture University in Taiwan. He is also the editorial director of ListLab Publisher and works with BIAS Architects on architectural and curatorial projects that concern the public space today. Alex is familiar with IFLA and has been actively involved in existing projects within the EAA, more recently with the IFLA Asia-Pacific accreditation programme.

We warmly welcome Alessandro to the IFLA Executive.
