Call for nominations

The IFLA Constitution and Bylaws adopted at the 2026 Virtual World Council establish a new Nominating Committee responsible for identifying, vetting, and presenting a slate of qualified candidates for the IFLA Board of Directors to the World Council for endorsement and appointment. 

This Call for Nominations invites eligible individuals from across IFLA's global membership to put themselves forward, or to nominate others, for the following positions on the Nominating Committee.

  • Regional Representative — IFLA Africa  - 1 position

  • Regional Representative — IFLA Americas - 1 position

  • Regional Representative — IFLA Asia-Pacific - 1 position

  • Regional Representative — IFLA Europe - 1 position

  • Regional Representative — IFLA Middle East - 1 position

  • External Member (non-IFLA) - up to 3 positions
