Bauhaus4Med Med_net Conference & Workshops “COASTAL LANDSCAPES: FROM PROTECTION TO PRODUCTION - NBS & Sustainable Projects in Mediterranean Countries”, 8-10 May 2025, Rome, Italy!

This event is part of a wider European initiative New European Bauhaus that promotes sustainability, inclusivity and the aesthetic value of the spaces in which we live and is co-financed by the Interreg EURO MED and IFLA Europe.

The Bauhaus4MED Med_net Conference and workshops will offer a unique platform to engage stakeholders, experts, and citizens around the transformative principles of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) and the Bauhaus4MED Project, Med_net and Agricultural Landscapes Working Groups within IFLA Europe. The event will foster interdisciplinary exchange and promote nature-based solutions as drivers of climate resilience and sustainable living.

Bauhaus4MED aims to reshape the perception of green transformation from a necessity to a desired goal through the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative, which emphasizes sustainability, aesthetics and inclusiveness in green transformation. Its specific objective is to promote climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention and resilience taking into consideration eco-system-based approaches.

This objective is in line with the objectives of IFLA Europe, its Med_net Working Group and the profession of landscape architects. The conference will represent an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about New European Bauhaus and speakers from different disciplines will exchange on how a joint approach and co-creation can contribute to green transformation and more sustainable green living areas.
