IFLA Working Programme 09 - Heritage

Goal: Promote the conservation and enhancement of heritage in landscape architecture, recognizing the value of cultural landscapes and historical sites.

Impact: Protect and enhance heritage, promote cultural identity, and create landscapes that respect and celebrate cultural diversity.

Director - Ana Inés Bajcura

Ana is the president of BAJCURA & ASOCIADOS, an architecture and landscape planning studio. She develops architectural and landscape projects on various scales, providing direction, execution, and consulting services to country clubs and forestry and landscape consultancies.

Since 2007, she has been involved in the construction and maintenance of green areas. She is also a professor of Landscape Planning and Design at the University of Columbia in Paraguay, and gives courses and lectures at the National University of Córdoba.

 

Co-director - Feng Han

Feng Han is the former head of the Department of Landscape Architecture at Tongji University. She is also the founder and Chair of the Cultural Landscape Committee within the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture. Over her 35-year career, Han has dedicated herself to research, education, and practical efforts in conserving and managing heritage landscapes. Her work encompasses global comparisons along with environmental, social, and economic dimensions related to development within historical contexts marked by globalization, urbanization, and sustainable development principles.
