IFLA Professional Standards Roundtable Discussion (Asia-Pacific Region), held on 20–21 April 2026 in Quezon City, Philippines
Moments from the IFLA Professional Standards Roundtable Discussion (Asia-Pacific Region), held on 20–21 April 2026 in Quezon City, Philippines. Over two days, representatives from across the region engaged in roundtable sessions on professional regulation, core competencies, and alternative pathways. The program began with welcome messages from host institutions, Philippine Association of Landscape Architects (PALA) and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) - Professional Regulatory Board of Landscape Architecture (PRBoLA), followed by presentations from regulatory bodies, and open discussions among delegates, facilitated by the IFLA Professional Standards Working Group (PSWG). As part of IFLA’s ongoing efforts, these bottom-up consultations begin with the Asia-Pacific Region and could serve as a model for other regions. The exchanges contribute to the development of a common framework that supports professional mobility, shared standards, and stronger connections across the global landscape architecture community.
