IFLA WORKING PROGRAMMES
IFLA 19 ambitious Working Programmes are designed to harness the collective expertise of its members, address critical global challenges, and increase the profession's impact on the world stage.
The new Working Programmes structure IFLA's efforts across a wide spectrum of crucial contemporary issues. They aim to reflect the multifaceted dimensions of landscape architecture, align IFLA’s work more closely with the United Nations (UN) and its agencies (such as UNESCO, UN-Habitat, UNEP, WHO, FAO), and foster collaboration with sister organisations (such as ISOCARP, UIA, AIPH, WGIN, URBIO, ISUH).
Led by top reference professionals within the field, these programmes position landscape architects as key leaders in developing solutions for a sustainable future. The initiative intends to significantly increase the visibility and influence of landscape architecture in addressing topics ranging from climate action and biodiversity to social justice, public health, and technological innovation.
